Paul Sung 51st International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine Annual Meeting 2025

Paul Sung

My background is in clinical biomechanics and motor control as a physical therapist. Originally, I was trained in orthopedic physical therapy and involved in a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Iowa Spine Research Center in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Iowa from 2001 to 2003. My proposed work is the collaborative expansion of non-surgical solutions to balance and pain problems from a clinical biomechanics point of view to neuromuscular applications. My research interests include the neuromuscular mechanisms of the spine, muscle activation patterns, kinetic and kinematic analyses, and non-operative spine care and its clinical applications.
